“the things we love tell us who we are” ~ Saint Thomas Aquinas
Beautiful. Every time I see that view of the Vatican, I feel that lovely feeling of coming home to the church all over again:) Thanks!
Yes! Yes! Me too! I’ve never felt more at home than wandering among the beauty that lies there… truly one can feel Our Lord’s presence there, and even through the photos, right? <3 God bless!
thank you, Abbey Noelle! I love them – don’t they just raise your heart to the Lord? God bless!
Love that teacup. And ALL THE THINGS.

Oh, I know- the colors are SO vibrant! :) <3
That quote from Thomas has always been a favorite of mine. It makes me rethink my life and priorities every time I read it.
And if these are the things you love, dear one, I think that we definitely qualify as kindred spirits. ♥
It is definitely a wake-up call for me, too… Always reminding me to strive towards the culmination of Beauty and Goodness!
I’m so glad… these things, they really just raise my heart to soaring… ♥♥♥ God bless you!
So many beautiful things! Cinnamon rolls… Tea… These are making me hungry. And wish it wasn’t Lent, just for a few minutes. ;)
Oooh, I know! You’re right. *stomach grumbles* It will just make Easter more fun, heheh. :)
The ocean one- breathtaking. Although I hate going in the ocean, that is actually quite nice. And baby cinnamon rolls! And tea! (I just got some pumpkin tea-going to try it out tonight!) And the Vatican?
This is a winner of a post:)
You don’t like the ocean either? I’m always scared of it. Sharks you know. And just the general “dirty” feeling afterwards. But the baby cinnamon rolls, yummm! <3 You got pumpkin tea!??!! No way. That sounds delicious. <3 God bless, Mady!
I love the ocean because of its majestic power, its endless strength and perseverence, its total mirroring of God. :)
(*gets salt in hair and mouth….* scratch the above. :P)
Love this post, dear! ;) I wish I checked your blog earlier.
I love the ocean for its beauty, too. Just like what you said, you Aaron, you! I just don’t want to be alone in the middle of the ocean and drown. Or get sharked.
“I’m terrified of sharks. Nature has designed the ultimate killing machine. I love swimming in the sea and don’t think about sharks until I’m the furthest person out from the shoreline and then the John Williams Jaws theme starts in my head.” ~ Tom Hiddleston (eheheheh) I also dislike sandy feet (oh, try as you might, the sand NEVAH leaves your feet) and the grittiness of it all. But who cares. <3 Love you!
PS: Moses probably liked the ocean. He walked around in it. ;)
I had forgotten about this quote! Simply LOVE. :) Thomas Aquinas… ahh, so great. Have you read his Summa Theologiae? I haven’t read it all, only some parts from Gov & Econ class; he’s SO brilliant. These pictures are stunning. :) Blessings!
<3 know. Isn't it the most thought-provoking, "amend my life and strive for greater things" quote? I have read some snippets – mainly on just war, and all that, but it's fascinating. He's too smart. (Well, no… xD) God bless you!
